Badger Maps is a mobile application for field sales that lets reps plan their daily meeting schedule, organize their accounts, and find more leads. This review video is provided by TechnologyAdvice as part of our mission to educate, advise, and connect buyers and sellers of business technology. Interface and Basic Layout Badger Maps function almost entirely in a map application so the interface should be familiar to most users. The main points of interest are the map markers that represent different accounts.

You can make changes to the map view and access more information from one of two panels on the right and left side of the map. Panel navigation is displayed in a vertical list. Badger can take a list of leads from a spreadsheet or your CRM and create a map location for each account. Once your customers have been mapped, you can see information about them with one click. Badger also lets you plan meetings and view any notes or check-in history for each account.

Once your accounts have been mapped, you can use Badger’s filters to color code different accounts on your map or create new views that only include certain customers. You can filter customers by sales stage, account type, priority, and more. Badger goes beyond just mapping current accounts by using Google Places to perform searches for specific types of businesses. For example, if your reps sell to podiatrists, you can perform a search in Badger and find all of the podiatrists in the area.

The results will populate next to the markers for your current customers so you have a complete view of your current and potential customers in the area. Include a calendar integration for iPhone and Android devices as well as iPads. This feature makes it easy to plan ahead by adding different routes into your calendar as appointments. Badger also includes route optimization so you avoid traffic and get to sales calls on time. Badger Maps has four pricing tiers, each of which are geared toward a different size company.

The Bassic tier is for individuals, while Business is for companies with multiple reps. Enterprise and Enterprise Premium work best for larger companies. Badger Maps main limitation is that the application is so powerful, it may be bested used on an iPad rather than a smartphone. The larger screen makes the different navigation panels more user friendly and less cluttered. Badger Maps is a great tool for outside sales reps who make in-person calls.

The software not only helps users save time and money by optimizing their drive time, but also makes finding new leads easy through its business search function.
