From posting your job ad to managing candidates, it saves time on administration and creates time for people by keeping your hiring process all in one place.
Workable’s interface very easy to navigate. When you log in to the platform, you’ll see the Jobs Dashboard, which includes an overview of all your published positions. Workable is an all-in-one hiring system, so it includes additional dashboards which you can navigate to by using the buttons across the top. You can easily jump between workspaces by clicking the corresponding dashboard. To add a job opening, simply click the “Create a New Job” button at the right.
From the New Job Position dashboard, you’ll add a job title, location, a department, describe the position, add any requirements. You can also create a customizable application form. Then you can Share your position on job boards and social media, invite external recruiters, and set up a hiring team for each posting. From the Home Screen you can see when new applications come in. You can click on specific jobs and view all the candidates who have applied.
From this view you can email the candidate directly, set up a phone interview, comment, evaluate the candidate or disqualify them all together. In this view you see the default steps that Workable provides, but you can customize and define your own hiring steps. Additional functions include a careers page hosted by workable, Customization of application forms, and the ability to advertise your job postings on job boards like LInked in and indeed.
Workable is a Software as a Service vendor. Their product falls on the higher end of the spectrum when you compare it to its competitors. With that said, their pricing plans are flexible based on the amount of job postings you need per month. A limitation we discovered while reviewing Workable is that you can’t filter jobs on the home screen. This is an issue for a hiring manager hiring multiple positions in multiple locations. Also, there is not a referral function.
A work around to this could be the use of additional questions in the application form. You can set the answer portion to plain text for the applicant to include a referral name. Workable helps teams Easily manage job postings collaborate on identifying qualified candidates, and track candidates through the hiring process To find out more about Workable or other Hiring software, check out our website, TechnologyAdvice.com, where we can help you find the best technology for your business.
