You have Home, People, and Teams at the top. The Home screen will be where you do most of your interacting. On the home screen you can see a feed which includes messages from the HR team, and team member anniversaries and birthdays. Much like any social website, you can like posts and add comments. To the left you will find several quick links that will help you navigate the platform. “My Profile” allows you to view information pertaining to the company and your profile in the company.

You can also access compensation and benefits from the profile section. Goals and performance reviews can also be accessed from this area. Namely has made it pretty easy to request time off, and log sick time in several areas. One of which is in the profile section. Features like Time off and Calendars function side by side. You can request time off, or log sick hours and they appear on the calendar. The Calendar allows you to see who is already off allowing employees and managers to manage time off more effectively.

In this area, you can also check pending requests, and review approvals. Under Resources you will find forms, policy guides, and other HR information that you can download. Making it easy for employees to access updated documentation. Payroll is also accessible from the Home Screen. From a user’s perspective, you can review pay stubs for individual pay periods. For larger companies, or for employees that are new to a company the people and teams sections at the top are useful tools.

They allow for employees to search company profiles for other employees. They can also see organizational charts, which shows the management hierarchy. In the Team’s screen you can also see an overhead view of the company where you can see all the departments, how many personnel are in each department and who is in each team. Additional include A payroll module, where you can automate benefits deductions, utilize seamless time tracking and proper filing with W-2, 1099’s and more.

There is also Benefits module where you can manage 401K, Healthcare, and other employee benefits And a Talent Management module that allows you to easily accomplish peer and manager reviews. Namley is priced on the mid to higher range of the HR spectrum. To start with Namely there is a one time implementation fee, and then you pay a per user fee for each module you are utilizing. A limitation of Namely is that it can take a rather long time to implement.

In some cases it can take 8-10 weeks. Although, we have heard that it could be as short as 4 weeks. Another limitation which is both a blessing and a curse, is the account manager. For a HR Admin to make a customization to user access levels you have to go through your account manager at Namely to stay in compliance. This can be a hassle if you are trying to give a manager specific access after hours. In Summary, Namely puts all your HR needs in an easy to use and compliant platform.
