Mavenlink does best on projects wehre there’s an associated bill rates and cost rates. Here we can see an actual workspace. Users have access to tabs acrosscccc teh top and a navigation bar to the left. Within the project screen is an activity freed with recent updates as well as upcoming tasks, and a helpful bar to the right with the team on the project, schedule, budget, and payments. One of Mavenlink’s focus categories is financials. Within the analytics tab users can easily run margin reports by client.

The software also has strong profit and loss statements so you can determine before starting a project how successful it is likely to be. Another key pillar for Mavenlink is its resource management. Users can at any time see across their entire team what everyone is working on. Within an employee you can see their current utilization, avaialble hours, as wellas predicted revenue. In the scheudling section of a project, you can see across all projects and the current resource allocation.

Whenever users are assigned to a task within the scheudler, they are automatically emailed. Mavenlink also has very simple and intutive gantt charts for project planning. Mavenlink also has a well-built HTML5 interface that acts similarly to a separate application. It’s here that users can view and approve various expenses. the mobile interface is also helpful to post messages back and forth about details of a projects. Lastly going off of its focus on financials, Mavenlink has strong invoicing capabilities.

From the projects page, users can easily create an invocie that allows you to bill for time, materials, expenses, and more. From there the software creates an invoice that can be sent and tracked through the application. Made for mid-sized companies to enterprises, Mavenlink is available for a medium-price point. A few limitation we noticed and confirmed from reviews on our website is there were a few minor frustrations such as the software not allowing for tasks to be made private or being able to easily undo requiring change orders.
