In the world of big business we don’t just resort to packages that only handle one country. We need those wicked awesome packages that cover your backyard, as well as your neighbors in the next state over and even the next country. There are a few payroll solutions that will help you pay your international employees directly while also remaining in compliance with local laws. Now if nothing you see here works for you then we still can help. Head on over to our website to check out our Payroll Software Guide by clicking the link I’m going to put right here.

So let’s get started with this quick overview. First up, Papaya Global. Papaya Global is relatively new on the scene, since 2016 payroll solution has been offered in 160+ countries. It has a straightforward pricing structure with the option to onboard existing local payroll partners. It also gets mass salary data updates to reduce work repetition. Papaya offers white glove service so its prices can be higher than some competitors. It also has separate invoicing processes for each country which can be a bit overwhelming.

Integrations are limited and the user interface could be improved. On the other hand, it has a payroll intelligence suite that anyone can sign up for that can perform some awesome analytics to optimize processes and make decisions. Next, Rippling Speedy and efficient, Rippling is a cloud-based HR, IT, and finance software solution. Rippling’s global payroll function is only available in 50+ countries which is less than some competitors. However, it has over 500 third-party integration platforms and is considered by many to be best-in-class payroll software.

Now the global launch did have some issues and there’s no stand-alone payroll option but with customer workflows and HR Data Sync Rippling has everything you need. Oyster Oyster is available in over 180+ countries and its offerings include global employment, global contractors, contractor conversion, global payroll, and localized benefits and rewards. It pays out in over 120+ currencies but it only has a monthly pay period option. However, it does have support for Ad Hoc payments if necessary.

While there’s a single invoice for all global hires and it has guided hiring process prompts … Benefits administration and health care plan selection could be improved. Remote Offered in over 160 different countries, with an employer of record service in 70 of them, Remote offers solutions for companies that need contract management, global payroll, and remote relocation services. Its interface is intuitive and easy to navigate but its mobile user interface could use some improvement.

Remote has email-only customer support but it has fast employee onboarding and is a single platform for employee documentation. In addition to contractor agreement templates it also has Remote API access capabilities if your IT team needs to build integrations to your other software packages. Finally, there is Deel. Deel works with over 150+ countries and is one of our picks for the best stand-alone global payroll platforms. However, it works best with companies that already have established international presence and just need help managing payroll, tax filings, and benefits administration.

Deel has automatic reminders for each payroll period. Its many features can make it hard to find exactly what you’re looking for but it has dedicated account representatives to respond quickly in case you do need help. While minor glitches and bugs can sometimes cause conformation issues at the moment, the platform itself is still easy to navigate. So who do you go with? Here’s a quick breakdown. Rippling is great for US-based companies that have to manage IT, HR, and finance requirements Oyster is great for growing companies that need a comprehensive platform for paying international employees.

Deel and Remote are great for companies with less complex needs. Compared to its competitors Remote offers an affordable way to pay international contractors while Deel is best for companies that want a stand-alone platform.
