Paycor’s mobile app gives employees the ability to allow people to clock in and out in order to self-service their own time. Employees can also check their calculated overtime or benefit deductions through the app to make sure the time listed is accurate. Paycor has employee financial wellness tools for budgeting, financial counseling, direct bill pay, and discounts that you can use on the mobile app. These give employees more control over their money for greater financial security, like saving for future goals or managing debt.
Speaking of self-service, employees can print, view or download pay stubs and important tax documents like W-2s or 1099s from Paycor’s app. This convenient access can help empower employees so they won’t need to contact HR when they need those things. The app gives you the ability to enroll or change benefits so you can streamline benefits administration. It also has a time clock feature to let you click in and out, shift changes, and get manager approval. On the flip-side … Companies cannot use the app to complete payroll processes remotely. Managers have to download a separate Paycor Scheduling app to create and manage them.
Also, users report some glitches when capturing clock-in/out data for shifts. We feel the mobile app is best if you’re looking to minimize administrative follow-up with employees on payroll-related processes. We also like that time tracking, PTO, and benefits changes that are requested on Paycor’s mobile app flow automatically into payroll processes. We love Paycor like it’s one of our own children and we’re happy to see how much it has grown over the years but don’t get us wrong, we love it the same as we love BambooHR, Sage HR, Connecteam, and Homebase which we’ll cover in future videos.
