This video review is for GamEffective and its goal to provide a wholistic approach to help companies improve sales, customer service, and employee training. GamEffective’s enterprise solutions provide highly customizable answers to many business needs.

The challenge for GamEffective is to tie corporate objectives into a variety of context-based game elements to engage employees and help them meet their objectives. The first pillar of building a platform to overcome this challenge is within GamEffective’s integration GamEffective can apply gamification across several enterprise apps simultaneously without requiring a single line of code or scripting. GamEffective has built in integrations and interfaces so it can immediately be set up over any enterprise application, or over several apps at once.

The second pillar for GamEffective is the narrative. Narratives are used to create an engaging context for gamification. Instead of using simple leaderboards or competitions the company says that its narratives focus on making employees the heroes of their game and not just a name on a leaderboard. Next up is the gamfication application. The base of the platform is a dashboard with various customizable information. Users get access to their current score, how the rank amongst their coworkers, as well as various challenges and badges that help motivate them.

Email and the customized game are also accessible from the dashboard. There’s even a mobile platform that allows users to access games on the go. Within the game users can see how they’re doing against a few important metrics such as their performance last month and the leader’s performance; however they aren’t compared against all of their coworkers to prevent overwhelming or discouraging information. GamEffective offers users both the benchmark approach and traditional leaderboards.

Users can also improve their scores through e-learning. If an employee isn’t performing well in a certain category, they can take a course to not only learn how to improve but also increase their score for doing so. Lastly is the back end. It’s here that any benchmark for any elements of data can be checked across any time period. Managers can create custom fields from which their teams and the custom built game will measure employees based off of.

Everything from highly specific KPIs to number of phone calls can be measured. Made for enterprises, GamEffective is available for a custom quote. A limitation for GamEffective is it currently doesn’t have a lighter version that would allow users to input their own data since it is an enterprise-level solution. Also some of their out of the box narrative images seem a little outdated.
