The Goal of Bamboo HR is to get users out of tracking employees in spreadsheets and into personalized software that frees up time for meaningful work. BambooHR’s consolidates data from various business sources into a single view. Then it lets employers access, control, sort, and analyze the data instantly from almost any device with internet access. Their software also allows employers to manage job and salary history, benefits, training, and core HR functions.

This is the Bamboo HR home screen. Across the top are various helpful tabs that can help companies keep track of the human resources. The Dashboard contains information about employees and the company. To the left hand side is basic information about an employee including remainig time off. Here users can also see their time off history and request time off. Below that is a helfpul feature that shows comapnies who has taken time off today and in the future.

Further down are celebrations of work anniversaries and a pie graph displaying employee statisitcs about work status. At the very bottom left are hlepful links to benefit providers. In the center are company announcements which detail upcoming company meetings, quarterly announcmeents, and more. BambooHR also has an integrated training section to ensure that employees are up-to-date with training and compliance. There’s also information detailing benefits and recent activity wihtin the portal.

At the top, administrators can add employees, files, or reports to keep the software up to date and employees informed. The next tab over is information about specific employees. There are several tabs within an employee profile that help users get the most out of BambooHR. Here you can see basic personal information in the center as well as more higher level information to the left. Job information including compensation and bonsuses can be found within the job section of the profile.

Users can get a quick glance at their time off as well as emergency contact information. There are also several more helful tabs including Documents to help keep track of paperwork, notes, benefits, training, and more. Next to My Info is a tab that displays all current employees. Users can view a photo, see their location, job title, and hire date. There’s also the ability to search for employees as well as view them in a hierarchy format. This is really helpful for viewing current and anticipated company size.

Job Openings is another helpful feature that can help teams keep their growth organized. Job openings can be automatically linked to a careers page on your company’s website and can store information about candidates that have applied. Within a position users get a quick glance at all those who are currently still in the running and can sort them based on their rating and status. Full job description is also helpful for teams to structure their hiring decisions.

The second to last tab is reports. It’s here that comapnys can see a variety of information. Everything from additions and terminations to birthdays and payroll changes can be accessed and filed. Reports can be filtered, shared, and even exported to excel. Lastly, company files can bbe added to help HR departments stay on track of their employees’ paperwork. COmpany handbook, I-9, W-5, and more can all be stored here. Made for small - medium companies, Bamboo HR is available for a low price point.

A few limitation we noticed while reviewing Bamboo HR is it would be nice to A/B test campaigns and the reporting functionality is basically limited to charts and graphs.
