With Facebook Ads, you want an ad agency that truly gets your organization’s needs and priorities and can craft a Facebook ad campaign that fits them accordingly. No generic cookie-cutter stuff.
With social media today being so unpredictable, a good Facebook ad agency should also be able to stay on top of shifting trends and user behaviors, targeting your exact audience demographic (and interest and buying behavior). Retargeting capabilities via Facebook ad pixels are also welcome.
Now, in my experience researching and evaluating these agencies, there’s rarely one agency that does it all, although some agencies offer more services than others. Therefore, I’ve categorized the agencies below into their best use cases, as I see fit, including the best agency for generating leads (WebFX) or for driving ROI and conversions (Open Moves).
All the best Facebook ads agencies in this guide have been thoroughly researched and evaluated against a scoring criteria. This criterion includes the quantity and quality of their services, their expertise, customer support, and my own expert evaluation.
- Straight North: Overall best Facebook ads agency for long-term partnerships
- Open Moves: Best for performance-driven, ROI-focused ad campaigns
- LYFE Marketing: Best for small businesses
- WebFX: Best for lead generation ad campaigns
- Smartsites: Best for driving end-of-funnel conversions through retargeted ads
- Avalaunch Media: Best for ecommerce businesses

Pros
- All Facebook ad campaigns are customized to meet specific goals
- Continually optimizes campaign keywords, landing pages, and audience targeting to maximize ROI
- Can run multiple campaigns, including retargeting and conversion tracking
- Flexible; can adjust campaigns as necessary if your priorities shift; can also do long-term partnerships
Cons

- Not ideal for clutch campaigns that need quick results
- Doesn’t specialize in generating leads or conversions
The best thing about Straight North as an advertising agency is the custom service and focus it affords to its clients. It doesn’t just set up Facebook ad campaigns — it’s an agency that commits to your long-term growth as a business, whether solely through Facebook advertising or a comprehensive marketing plan customized to your business.
The team’s pretty flexible and can meet you where you need them most, whether you need help optimizing your ad’s landing pages or something more comprehensive.
Although the main reason I’m including Straight North as my best overall pick is for its full-service, top-to-bottom approach. This is a team you can contact if you don’t even have any concrete strategies for your Facebook ad campaigns yet, but know the results and KPIs you want.
What’s also great with Straight North is that it continually optimizes your ads to bring in more sales, traffic, or conversions (depending on your ad objective) after they’re launched, whether through retargeting visitors or refining your campaign keywords or landing pages.
The Straight North team is full of digital marketing experts who’ve been in the game for over 25 years, and they’re always dedicated to bringing the best results for clients.

Pros
- Fully custom Facebook ad campaigns with specific audience targeting based on your customer profile
- Performance-based approach; continually optimizes campaigns to bring more bottom-line revenue
- Plenty of lead-generation and conversion experience in B2B and B2C markets
Cons
- Mostly does basic image and video ads, not Collection or Messenger ads
- Doesn’t do rush campaigns that need quick results
Open Moves is, first and foremost, a performance-driven digital marketing agency. So if your organization has a similar mindset, this is definitely one of the best Facebook Ads agencies to consider.
The team specifically focuses on finding the best ways to optimize campaigns to bring more leads and conversions. They look at the minute details, like landing page copy or targeted audiences, to figure out the perfect formula for bringing better results to your Facebook ads.
They’re also experienced with both B2C and B2B markets and have worked with everything from healthcare to IT security providers, which gives them a few extra points in my book.
Ultimately, Open Moves specializes in creating highly targeted ad campaigns that pinpoint your exact target audience and then figure out how to make your campaigns more effective at bringing in revenue, down to their specific details. This factor also makes Open Moves a good option for long-term partnerships.

Pros
- Agency with specific expertise in social media marketing and advertising
- Ad campaigns include geotargeting, A/B testing, conversion tracking, and retargeting at no extra cost
- Can set up your ad account for you
- Monitors campaigns Monday to Friday and adjusts accordingly to meet revenue goals
Cons
- Doesn’t strategize custom plans for businesses — everything is pre-packaged
- Mostly experienced with small businesses
- Only does monthly contracts
- Needs a starting ad budget of $500
LYFE Marketing isn’t solely for small businesses — that’s just where most of its expertise and experience lies (though, it’s still my top recommendation if you have a business that needs any kind of social media expertise, Facebook Ads and beyond.)
But LYFE Marketing also has corporate experience, and what makes it stand out from the other agencies here is that social media is its sole specialty.
The LYFE Marketing team is made up of social media marketing experts, and all their Facebook ad campaigns are complete with ad retargeting, geotargeting, conversion tracking, and ongoing optimization to generate more traffic, leads, or conversions.
This specialty is why, although it offers a pre-packaged plan structure, I’m still confident in its Facebook ad abilities. One client on Clutch.co even said LYFE Marketing’s Facebook ad landing pages generated up to 100 clicks a day and more leads than their previous campaigns.
What’s the catch? Unfortunately, as mentioned, LYFE Marketing does not provide custom, tailor-made Facebook advertising plans to every business. You choose an ad package from the website (Image, Video, or Image and Video), and you’ll get exactly what’s included in the plan — no adjustments.
If you need more services, you’ll need to renew your contract every month. Conversely, if your business isn’t ready for long-term commitments, LYFE Marketing’s a safe (and reputable) bet.

Pros
- Real-time client dashboard to track ad campaign ROI in real time
- Precise audience targeting to generate high-quality leads that match your customer profile
- Audience analysis includes audience demographics, interests, and buying behavior
Cons
- No custom plans; everything is pre-packaged, with extra services costing additional fees
- Plans are not adjustable
- Not ideal for long-term growth partnerships, mostly for short-term ad campaigns
WebFX always makes it to any list of my best Facebook ad agencies, thanks mostly to its extensive expertise. Apart from Straight North, WebFX has some of the most extensive digital marketing experience out of the agencies on this list, with a wide client base of small to enterprise businesses.
Its biggest standout point, however, is its laser-sharp focus on data-driven strategies. Every ad campaign is thoroughly researched and audience-targeted based on hundreds of data points, including their professional characteristics, interests, and geo-location.
Data targeting that’s this detailed generates high-quality leads that match your customer profile. The key is to be clear with the WebFX team about the audience you want to capture so that they can target them accurately.
However, as mentioned, WebFX tends to have a large client base at any given time, which is one of its biggest drawbacks. It doesn’t afford clients the same bespoke end-to-end services as Straight North or Smartsites, and you’ll be sharing resources with several other clients.
It’s because of these limitations that I mostly recommend WebFX as an extra resource for your existing marketing team, say, if you need help with a particularly important campaign — not as a long-term growth partner. But it still has the Facebook Ads expertise and decades of digital marketing experience.
Pricing:
- $975 or 15% of ad spend (whichever is greater) per month for a $1,000 to $30,000 ad budget, plus a $1,975 one-time setup fee
- $4,500 or 12% of ad spend (whichever is greater) per month for a $30,000-plus ad budget, plus a $4,250 one-time setup fee
Reporting measures: Monthly calls plus a campaign tracking dashboard
Meta Partner: Yes
Key services:
- Precise audience targeting via interests, demographics, professional characteristics, and lookalike audiences
- Data-driven ad campaign strategy
- Ad copywriting and design
- Ad retargeting

Pros
- Multi-awarded agency for client support and satisfaction
- Sets up Meta tracking pixels to drive end-of-funnel conversions through ad retargeting
- Collaborates with clients long-term for accurate brand and customer matching
Cons
- No dashboard for real-time tracking of your campaign
- Tends to measure results in vanity metrics (click rates and leads) with no guarantee of lead quality
Smartsites has one of the starriest reputations I’ve seen from an agency. It has a 4.9 rating on Clutch.co, and it’s even won a few awards for its client satisfaction. That’s pretty remarkable for an agency.
What I find most attractive about Smartsites is its commitment to delivering excellent client services and its ad retargeting services to drive end-of-funnel conversions.
Ad retargeting campaigns specifically recapture users who’ve previously visited your business’s website, and while many agencies offer this service, Smartsites takes a more nuanced and detailed approach. They’ll set up Meta tracking pixels on your site, then target your ad campaigns to get those site visitors to convert into a lead or a customer.
If increasing conversions is your primary goal, and you don’t want generic cookie-cutter services, Smartsites can help you. Unfortunately, however, Smartsites doesn’t provide a campaign tracking dashboard, so you’ll need to rely on its reports to monitor campaign data.
Pricing: Custom, typically between $1,000 and $10,000 per project, according to former clients
Reporting measures: Regular calls
Meta Partner: No*
Key services:
- Meta tracking pixel installation and monitoring
- Ad retargeting campaigns to drive conversions
- Granular audience targeting by demographic, interest, and behavior

Pros
- Boutique agency that can create a custom plan for your business and assign a team and account manager
- Niche is in ecommerce advertising: testimonial ads, landing page optimization, conversion tracking
- Also experienced with generating MQLs and decreasing CPLs
Cons
- Not as wide a client base as other agencies like Straight North or WebFX
- No dashboard to track your ad campaigns — all info comes from the team’s reports
- Limited client slots available, as it is a boutique agency
Out of all the agencies here, Avalaunch Media is the most “boutique.” That’s not a bad thing — it just means the team can give your business their entire focus and set up tailored campaigns to your specific goals.
However, most of Avalaunch Media’s experience, thus far, is for ecommerce businesses. It has lots of experience in creating testimonial ads to drive sales. For instance, some of the clients it’s worked with include CreditRepair.com, a fintech company, and Yourstyle Unzipped, an ecommerce fashion retailer.
My drawback with Avalaunch Media is that it tends to be very untransparent with its campaigns, and because it’s a boutique agency, not every business has a guarantee of getting its services. If you do get to be a client, my advice is to communicate regularly with the team to keep campaign expectations clear, and so you get a good idea of your campaign progress and results.
But ecommerce advertising is definitely its strongest suit, so if that sounds like your business — especially for B2C or D2C marketing — Avalaunch Media is worth reaching out to.
Pricing: Custom, typically between $50,000 and $200,000 per project, according to former clients
Reporting measures: Weekly or monthly calls
Meta Partner: Yes
Key services:
- Ecommerce-driven Facebook ad campaigns
- Testimonial ads
- Landing page design and optimization
- Ad retargeting
How I chose and evaluated the best Facebook ad agencies
Google “the best Facebook ads agencies,” and you’ll probably find a dozen agency-written blogs all claiming to be number one. But I’ve been researching and evaluating marketing agencies for a few years now, and I wanted to be a little more specific.
My definition of a “best Facebook ads agency” should be able to go beyond the basics of ad campaign management and execute more advanced strategies, like ad retargeting, conversion tracking, and ongoing ad optimization.
I evaluated all the agencies on this list against criteria that take into account these capabilities, as well as each agency’s client support, pricing structure, and my personal score as a digital marketer.
General services: 30%
I gave a big slice of the pie to general Facebook ads services, which include full-service campaign management for your Facebook ads, ad location and demographic targeting, image and video ad creation, campaign reporting, and a proven ability to increase site traffic and leads.
Advanced services: 30%
This is where many other agencies didn’t make the cut. Advanced services include conversion tracking via Meta Pixels, ad retargeting, ongoing ad optimization, campaign bid management, and setting up Facebook Carousel and Collection ads.
Pricing: 15%
Each agency has its own pricing structure, but I gave higher points to the ones with transparent prices, flexible contracts, a starting ad budget of less than $500, and no setup fee.
Customer support: 10%
Top-notch client support is integral to any good client-agency relationship, which is why I also gave extra credit to agencies with longer customer support hours and avenues, regular consultations, and that offered a client dashboard to track ad campaigns.
Expert score: 15%
I also evaluated agencies based on my experience in digital marketing and advertising. My score is based on overall service quality, value for money, ability to provide custom services, and their score on review platforms like Clutch.co.
How to choose the best Facebook ads agency for your business (5 key considerations)
Any of the agencies in this guide can build a solid Facebook ad campaign, but when it comes down to deciding on the single best fit for your business, there are a few important things to consider. For example, the service and contract structure you prefer, and whether you need a custom, long-term partnership or an agency that can bring results fast.
Also, consider if you need an agency that specializes in certain strategies, like ad retargeting or lead generation, along with the regular budget and timeline considerations.
1. Do you need custom, long-term contracts, or an agency that can get results fast? This is the biggest distinction dividing Facebook ads agencies. Some, like Straight North and Smartsites, offer customized long-term strategies tailored to your business’s growth.
They’ll create ad campaigns based on the targets and priorities you mention during your initial setup call. Meanwhile, other agencies, like WebFX and LYFE Marketing, have pre-packaged plans, which are more suitable if you need results fast.
2. What specific results do you want from your campaigns? Some agencies specialize in lead generation strategies, some in increasing ROI through performance marketing, and some in driving end-of-funnel conversions.
I’ve hand-picked some of my best choices for each in this guide, but I’d still advise setting up an initial call with your shortlisted agencies to find out how they plan to reach your desired results and KPIs, and narrow down your choices.
3. What tracking and reporting measures does your team need? One thing that also varies between ad agencies is their reporting methods and cadence. Some agencies, like WebFX and Straight North, offer dashboards you can log into anytime to track your campaigns’ leads and ROI in real time, while others only report your ad campaign results via weekly calls and reports.
4. What specific verticals do you want to target? Some agencies also specialize in certain verticals and markets, even if they don’t explicitly say so.
For instance, LYFE Marketing is particularly experienced in small businesses and D2C marketing, while WebFX works with a lot of B2B businesses, and Avalaunch Media is mostly experienced with ecommerce businesses. It’s also worth checking each agency’s previous experience and case studies to find businesses and projects similar to yours.
5. What kind of audience targeting do you need? Not all agencies have equal audience targeting measures. If I were looking to target audiences based on dozens of data points, including their interests and buying habits, WebFX would be my top choice.
Meanwhile, for retargeting audiences who previously visited a website, Straight North has some of the best experience, while Open Moves can target audiences that specifically fit your customer profile.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
Facebook ad agencies can be worth investing in if you need to produce specific results within a limited time, for example, if you need a certain number of new leads over the holiday season. They’re also worth investing in if you need to target customers of a specific interest, demographic, and behavior profile, or for retargeting audiences who previously visited your website and bringing them back to convert into a lead or complete a desired action. Investing in a good Facebook ads agency can connect you with Meta Ads experts who can create custom campaigns that meet your needs.
Facebook ad agencies can cost anywhere between $650 and $10,000 a month, depending on the complexity and length of your campaign. However, pricing differs per agency because some charge a set monthly price for pre-packaged plans, like WebFX and LYFE Marketing, while others offer custom pricing for tailor-made campaigns to your business’s needs, like Smartsites and Straight North.
A Facebook ads agency is a digital marketing agency with people who specialize in Meta Ads (aka Facebook Ads) and can strategize, set up, launch, and optimize Facebook ad campaigns for your business to bring in website traffic, leads, or conversions.
A Facebook ad agency can also launch ad retargeting campaigns to specifically bring back people who’ve previously visited your site and lead them further down the sales pipeline. Some ad agencies can also create custom long-term Facebook ad campaigns that target your business’s specific needs.
Bottom line
Any digital marketing agency can set up and launch an ad campaign on Facebook. But the best Facebook ads agencies can set up campaigns that bring the results you need and get your business in front of the audiences that matter most, and importantly, get them to take that next step in your customer journey.
They’ll do more than set up your ad campaigns. They’ll also continually optimize it and suggest new ways of improvement, acting as a long-term partner to reach your wider marketing goals.
