Picnic Community Engagement is a cloud-based gamification solution that specializes in scaled projects to create user interaction and engagement. Underneath the full suite of gamification and activity modules, Picnic is a scalable and fully configurable engine that supports points, badges, leaderboards, levels systems, item-based gameplay, virtual economies, collection challenges, and elements that contribute to the social experience. 

Picnic supports integration with a wide variety of third-party applications including on-line communities, content systems, social logins, SSO providers, CRMs, loyalty programs, and more. The Picnic platform includes fully-supported SDKs that have been used by web/application developers around the world on dozens of large-scale projects. Picnic supports authentication and account integration with third party systems through a straightforward authentication extension, including OAuth, Facebook, Google+, and Twitter.

For developers creating their own web and mobile applications, Picnic’s APIs, Javascript SDKs for web/mobile client development, and re-usable example code and patterns offer tools for development. Picnic’s rapid development kit is suitable for most third party developers who want to quickly and easily integrate gamification features into an existing site or application. All Picnic features are delivered by way of RESTful and Javascript APIs and libraries. 

Picnic APIs include secure, server-to-server interfaces that have been specifically designed and built for the rapid addition of connectors to third party applications with public interfaces (APIs/Web Services). Once integrations are complete and connectors in place, the existing Picnic administration tools are used to configure and publish integrated features and data. Picnic offers a variety of support services, including gamification/business design, user architecture design, gameplay design, reporting and analytics design and production, integration and client implementation design, and application development.

Picnic offers standard, out-of-the-box usage reports that can be viewed and exported in real-time from within online administration tools. Out-of-the-box analytics display basic behaviors and activities, progressive behaviors including identification of friction points, aggregate user statistics indicating community choices and preferences (with optional demographic segmentation), individual user profiles indicating choices and preferences, and user pattern detection.
