Product Quick Facts
Loyalzoo uses gamification concepts to increase customer retention at independent shops and restaurants. Using a purely cloud-based approach, the app aims to dynamically increase the interaction between merchant and customer at local businesses.
Loyalzoo meets the two most important requirements for both merchants and their customers: reliability and ease of use. With its simple yet elegant interface, it’s an app that will work for the busiest coffee shop, restaurant, local bookstore, etc. Because it is cloud-based, there is no fiddling around with QR-codes: customers simply check-in from their phones, then their names and pictures will pop up on the merchant app. The app supports both stamps and points-based loyalty programs. Once the transaction is complete, the merchant gives the customer their stamps or points. These are sent by push notification to the customer’s phone. Because the customer ‘checks-in’ rather than scans a code, merchants get to know their customers by name, making for a more personable experience.
The app is integrated with Facebook, which means that customers who signup to the app in this way will post their check-ins automatically to their Facebook feed, providing valuable word-of-mouth advertising – no merchant intervention is needed. Although it is primarily a customer retention app, once a merchant reaches a critical mass of customers using the app, it develops a customer acquisition element. Again, there is no need for any active intervention from the merchant to achieve this – it all comes from customer signups.
The app also provides analytics on customers, giving the sort of information available to the big brands. Using this information, businesses can reach out to their customers with special offers and promotions sent by push notification. Unlike e-mail, which can often gets either spammed or unread, push promotions will always display on the lock screen of the customer’s phone.
