VIDEO: Orange HRM: Sandals Resorts

Hello and welcome to this OrangeHRM Spotlight sponsored by TechnologyAdvice. In today’s spotlight we highlight Aundrey Wilson, a Human Resource Data Analyst at Sandals Resorts. The first question we asked him was about the relationship between OrangeHRM and Sandals Resorts. I started at the company about 2 years ago. I was brought on to help manage their HR Systems. We had started Orange before we had started the company at a pilot property, but we kind of paused it, because I think the company felt the need to have someone more dedicated to the system.

So they had a pause, and I came on board and pretty much took over the system. Since then we have implemented the system in all of our properties throughout the entire region. We have 20 properties in 7 different islands. We recently wrapped up implementation of Orange. Next up, we asked Aundrey how his experience has been with OrangeHRM It’s gone pretty well. We have 12,000 people on the system now, and so far so good. There are some things that we need to tighten up, but that is to be expected.

So far we are pretty happy. We asked him if there was a favorite feature that Sandals uses in OrangeHRM. We operate in so many different islands throughout the region, and there are so many different laws etcetera that apply to each island. A cool feature is that we can customize the configuration for that specific island, so it’s really cool that we can do that while still having a global overview of the system. And since Aundrey attended OrangeHRM last year, we asked him what his big takeaway was.

From my understanding, and general feedback, I think that Orange really seems to have it’s finger on the pulse of what’s really happening in HR systems. They seem very committed and genuinely interested in making Orange as sophisticated and applicable possible. I can’t remember the specific software, but it has something to do with a recruiting module that was really cool to me. Finally we asked if there were any surprises at OrangeHRM. I wouldn’t say surprises per say, but it was interesting and really cool to meet other people who are actually use OrangeHRM.

I’ve never known anyone else before (That uses OrangeHRM), so it’s really good to meet and interact with those people, and see how they actually use the system for their organizations. To find out more about OrangeHRM Con, click the box here. Thanks for watching!
