Welcome, today we’ll be looking at Mothernode, a CRM designed to help small and medium-sized businesses grow by offering a cost-efficient alternative to Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics. This video is brought to you by TechnologyAdvice. Our mission is to educate, advise and connect buyers of business technology and one of the ways we do this is by providing unbiased reviews of software. This video review is for Mothernode, a Software as a Service CRM designed to streamline operations.

The Goal of Mothernode is to help small and medium-sized businesses grow in areas where larger businesses thrive such as customer retention and lead conversion. At first look, the user interface is very clean and intuitive. Everything you need to access is a mouse click away. Navigating the interface is as easy as hovering over the menu bar and clicking on the link to areas you want to access. This is a view of the home page, it looks much like many social media websites.

Mothernode has incorporated a social aspect to this CRM tool. It includes notifications, a comments wall, and It allows for easy communication, eliminating the use needless emails, and allows everyone in the company to communicate in the same location. As a sales team memeber journals their contact with a client other members of the sales team can comment or like these notifications. Under the Customer management tab you will find it very easy to access your customers and contacts.

In each contact you will find a robust layout with plenty of room for information including associated contacts, location, billing and shipping information. The Sales Management tab has several options under it. One of which is leads and opportunity, which contains prospects. You can filter through these easily via the drop down menus. You can find the social aspect also incorporated under the activity section. Its very easy to add a comment and make a quick reply.

Under the same Sales Management tab, you can find quotes and various inventory tools to create proposals quickly and easily. Mothernode also offers the ability to sync your calendar. This can incorporate your current account via outlook, gmail or other office clients. You can also link your email to Mothernode so when you respond via mothernode, or if you have the Sales and Marketing edition you can reply to web forms with a customized message from your email account.

Made for small-medium businesses, Mothernode is available for a medium price point. It is offered in 3 options. Sales Team Edition, Sales and Marketing Edition, and Professional Edition. The pricing model goes up 10 dollars per user as you expand features. The Sales Team Edition is their base product best fit for sales teams and sales management. It includes all the features a sales team would need. When you move up to the Sales and Marketing edition, which is best fit for Sales teams, sales management, and Marketers, you gain marketing tools like campaign management, marketing analytics and web forms.

The final edition adds vendor management making it a total small and medium business CRM solution. It includes options like vendor accounts, inventory management, and purchase orders. A limitation we noticed while reviewing Mothernode is the lack of an e-commerce solution and the ability to send reports within the application. Also the mobile interface isn’t as helpful as we’ve seen with our CRMs. In summary, Mothernode helps businesses: Work smarter with its lead capture forms Collaborate better with the Dialogue feature Close more deals with customer management To find out more about Mothernode or other CRM software, check out our website TechnologyAdvice.com where we can help you find technology that will fit the needs of your work-place.
