Hi! I’m Justin Fraction for TechnologyAdvice and on this episode of our series on the Best HR Mobile Apps for 2023, we’re going to cover Sage HR. So, what can we say about Sage HR that hasn’t been said? After all: she is an icon, she is a legend and she is the moment. She’s got it all! … except for payroll or benefits administration modules but what Sage HR lacks in those it makes up for with its emphasis on remote team management which is why Sage HR is on our list of the best of the best!
So here are some fun facts about this HR superstar, SageHR: the HR software with an awesome mobile application! Besides clocking in and out of work using Sage’s mobile app, users can … View company documents and employee directory. Get push notifications and reminders for shifts or to-dos. Manage and update goals. Send feedback and recognition. Track and submit expenses and Manage performance. Sage HR’s excellent mobile app means that it can go uptown, downtown, and everywhere else in between.
Because while its features are well-suited to remote teams, its expense tracking and goal management options can support field workers as well. Using the Sage HR app, employees can update their goals, OKRs (which stands for objectives and key results). The application will allow you to sort and filter goals by activity, comments, updates, and attachments. Since Sage HR understands that not every user of its software is stationed behind a desk all day it gives users the ability to update their goals and scheduled to continue the process of facilitating and planning 1:1 meetings with their managers.
Ever want to take the pulse of your team? Well, you can easily with Employee Surveys and Sage HR. By asking employees to complete surveys using their mobile devices you can increase the likelihood that they’re completed at all. Also, doing them via mobile means they will then be less disruptive to their day. You can then analyze this data to improve company processes and culture. Every up has a down. Every sunrise has a sunset. Sage HR has pros and cons and we’re going to break them down for you right now.
On one hand, Sage HR is extremely well-liked by users. It integrates with more Sage products for added functionality. It has expense claims, approvals, and receipt scanning as well. On the other hand, Sage HR’s pay stub access is only available for Sage 50c Users in the UK. It doesn’t include onboarding, benefits administration, or recruitment modules. It cannot adjust schedules via the mobile app. And some users have occasional difficulty logging into the mobile app version.
While SageHR doesn’t have a free plan it’s still more affordable than our last fave, BambooHR especially if you have a team of less than 20. It’s well-liked by both managers and employees with a particular focus on simplifying remote team management. It’s also the only app that we’ll discuss in this series with an expense tracking option to help with employee reimbursements or business accounting. Tune in next time when we talk about Connectteam which we deemed the best for Employee Communication.
