so with this study we were trying to find out if office based employees actually want digital engagement programs we know from gallup's annual poll and a couple of other sources that Employee Engagement is a problem it's been declining for the past several years you know businesses lose money because employees are less productive employees are less happy at work produce lower quality work and so gamification has really risen as a solution to motivate employees to be more productive and to stay more engaged at work what's often missing from the gamification or Employee Engagement conversation is if employees actually want this type of program in their day-to-day life so what we did is we surveyed a random sample of 398 us-based office based workers to see if they actually wanted this type of software implemented into their data day so we had some pretty interesting results 70% of the respondents said they would actually prefer to have gamification or some type of Employee Engagement software in their work environment 54% they said they'd actually be more likely to perform a task if it had game elements there was some disparity between ages with younger Millennials 18 to 24 and even a bit older 25 to 34 the most interested demographic as far as gamification or Employee Engagement goes the numbers taper off a little bit when we get to middle age age but that may not be so much as a generational Gap as a positional Gap so these older employees may be in leadership roles where it's unlikely they're struggling with engagement so if you're interested in learning more about the impact of Employee Engagement on office-based employees you can download our FL report at technologyadvice.com
