availability your employees can communicate with you about their availability shift pool allows employees to trade shifts with one another the employees communicate this with each other but approval must come from you the manager and time off requests are just that the software also tracks this for you schedule gives an excellent visual representation of everyone on the schedule at each of your locations with the added bonus of sharing with you the weather forecast for that day with a color coding system that helps you know who is and who isn't available for a shift personally i think the weather mentions are super cool and i haven't seen that before like if you have a restaurant with serving space outside you may not need as many people if it's going to rain or snow it's all right there the software can also use a template to automatically create a calendar and shifts for you there's also a budget tool to keep track of financials messaging features a tool that helps you better schedule events task lists a manager daily log to keep track of daily operations and an engagement board to keep track of staff statistics like sick days lates drop shifts or reliability and for an app that includes almost everything you can think of that you'd want in a scheduling app there's also a reports function that will help you run reports on sales labor or pretty much anything you'd like to report on some users have claimed that they wished it was more robust but hold that thought there's more about this later on in the review i sort of glossed over the messaging features but let's get back into that while i've seen apps that allow employees to talk to each other i don't think i've seen one yet that lets you create rooms for specific employees in specific groups at specific locations with specific job functions again super cool a few users have had issues with the messaging system such as lag time while using but i don't think that's too difficult to fix there's one more thing i should mention there's also an employee app that the employees will use to communicate with the platform seven shift has three plans each with a 14 day free trial the program is split into comp entre and the works the freer cop version has a lot of great features but can only serve just one location and up to 30 employees the entree version can work with more than one location it also has schedule templates unlimited scheduling functionality labor budgeting and sales forecasting the ability to allow for and track pto breaks and overtime sales and labor reporting and finally read receipts it works as all of those great features but can work with unlimited employees as the weather function mentioned earlier station separation and advanced budgeting state-based compliance tools and more now we try to balance the good with the bad here but when reviewing user issues with the software you one never see the same issue twice which is good because that means there's nothing that people dislike across the board and two every time there is an issue as one user noted and as we touched based on earlier if you report it they call you about what you didn't like and they
