Founded in 2003 and located in Silicon Valley, Wrike Inc. is the developer of its self-named project management software, Wrike, which it launched as a public beta test in 2006 and officially launched as an online project management software product the following year. Founder and CEO of Wrike, Andrew Filev, launched his first software project at the age of 17 in Russia while attending St. Petersburg State University, and it was during this time that he came up with the basis of the idea for Wrike—”go where the data is.”
