About Revolution EHR
Complete with a number of integration capabilities and ONC-ATCB certification, Revolution EHR supplies Optometry practices with a cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) and practice management platform.
Revolution EHR covers all the basics: tools for managing documents and images, customizable patient encounter templates, access to longitudinal patient exam data, and a database of FDA medications and eye care best practices for clinical decision support. This software platform also includes several tools that move beyond EHR functions and help optometrists more intuitively manage their practice. Examples of Revolution EHR’s practice management features include scheduling capabilities, submission of claims for financial reimbursement, and other accounting functions. All of Revolution EHR’s modules are protected with 256 bit data encryption, which doubles the standard required by federal HIPAA and Meaningful Use regulations. This platform also allows optometrists a great deal of choice in terms of adding additional functionality. Choices for third party integration are Demandforce and Websystem3 for expanded communications with patients, Edge for business analytics, VisionWeb for ordering lab tests, and RxNT for ePrescribing. As federal regulations continue to change, this type of flexibility, which helps physicians adjust software as needed, will only grow more valuable.
Dr. James Paulson of Franklin, Pennsylvania struggled for over 18 months to get his 3 optometry practices Meaningful Use certified, but kept running into obstacles because of his clunky EHR system. Finally, Dr. Paulson removed his old platform and implemented Revolution EHR. Setup took less than a month across 3 locations and he began his 90 Meaningful Use attestation the very next month. In around 30 days Revolution EHR helped Dr. Paulson achieve the goal that he had been struggling with for over a year.
