About Passport Software
Passport Software has spent the past 30 years fitting its business accounting software and other products such as invoicing software and payroll management software to the business practices of its clientele. Founded in 1983, the company is headquartered in Northfield, Illinois. Passports still provides its clients with customized programming solutions for difficult programming problems.
Passport business accounting software includes a number of modules for specific aspects of business activity. These include accounts payable and accounts receivable software components. The general ledger module manages financial data for analysis. The payroll module automatically prepares tax-related information while also calculating taxes and managing employee information. It includes deductions in paychecks which, in turn, it prints. Another payroll module deals with direct deposit employee accounts. Passport Software’s check reconciliation application manages client checking accounts, and its professional time and billing module is designed for service industry businesses. This last module serves a number of different purposes, including tracking client expenses and staff work hours. It also collects receivables and prints invoices and reports. Passport makes solutions dedicated to such industries as distribution, retail and manufacturing. Common among these are integrated inventory management modules which cover a wide range of inventory functions. The distribution and retail applications include point-of-sale software, while the manufacturing product encompasses a dozen modules and is designed to meet all the needs of small manufacturing companies.
