Dentrix Ascend is Henry Schein’s cloud-based electronic health record solution for dental practices. Dentrix Ascend builds on the success of their earlier Dentrix platform, while adding cloud functionality. It offers functionality for patient management, scheduling, recording, and billing. With the e-claim feature, users can check availability from payers, and then bill patients accordingly. Dentrix provides an intuitive platform for entering patient information, and allows users to easily learn the system. With one, central location to store information in the cloud, Dentrix Ascend provides easy access to all system information from any web-enabled device. In addition, the platform provides a patient portal, allowing patients and doctors to interact. Patients can see their medical records, appointments, and alerts, and doctors can communicate updates through the portal. The entire system is designed for ease-of-use, providing simple dashboards and menus to cut down on the time it takes to train employees. Users can access information in one click from the patient profile page. Patient history can be viewed and updated through the patient profile as well. Practices can track patient progress and schedule patient appointments and procedures through the platform. For added peace of mind for its clients, Dentrix Ascend backs up all of its cloud data so that practices can be certain information will not be lost in the case of a system malfunction.
