About Smart Service
The QuickBooks-integrated scheduling and dispatching software Smart Service allows field service companies to go paperless, digitize their administration, manage customers, and avoid double data entry. Jobs and invoices created in Smart Service get duplicated in QuickBooks in real time, saving time for office personnel. Smart Service features a mobile app, allowing office workers to dispatch work orders, customer information, and forms to their field employees’ mobile devices. After finishing each job, technicians send the completed paperwork back to the office electronically, creating permanent records and customer histories.
After their client base grew too an unwieldy size, Empire Pools of Long Island, New York implemented Smart Service. The company used the software to streamline their service routes, saving on fuel expenditures and increasing their operating efficiency. This has allowed Empire Pools to refocus on doing jobs and delivering a satisfying customer experience.
Smart Service sprang from the brain of CEO Skip Stringfield over 20 years ago. Employed at a lawn care company at the time, Skip developed the software to fulfill that business’ scheduling needs. Word soon spread, and today Smart Service specializes in developing scheduling software for numerous field service specializations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrician, pest control, construction, fire protection, garage door, and appliance repair.
