Charting is made easy with ZoomMD’s customizable and standard form templates, allowing doctors to choose from ready-made forms that follow the logical flow of an appointment, or custom forms for offices that want to dictate the layout of their records. And with e-prescribing built-in to the platform, office staff don’t have to worry about paper filing and faxing. The e-prescribing feature also checks for potential drug interactions, and cross-checks with patient records to avoid potential allergy interactions. In addition, lab results and orders are integrated with a patients record to keep all information concerning a patient in one, central location.
The platform also includes an easy-to-use scheduler for front office staff. Patient appointments and procedures are created and viewed on a comprehensive calendar, that can also be sorted and viewed by patient, doctor, location, and date. The scheduler can also send out automatic notifications to patients about upcoming appointments, eliminating the need for office staff to manually contact patients. The entire EHR/practice management platform is Stage 1 Meaningful Use Certified, and requirements can be be viewed within the program from the Meaningful Use Dashboard.
