Breakdown of core features

WeKan offers boards, cards including attachments, lists, swimlanes, and labels. It also provides an archiving feature and visual helpers like different colors and templates. Users can move the cards to another column or board – either drag a single card or select multiple cards and move them together. Additionally, the software includes a search function and filters that support regular expressions.

Card tracking

Users can “watch” and track cards they deem important. Watching cards can trigger email notifications when certain changes happen, such as when another user moves the card or leaves a comment. Moreover, WeKan has a special “watched” board displaying all the user’s marked cards, which can be useful in managing large projects and hundreds of cards.

WeKan is fully GDPR-compliant when installed on an organization’s server or in UCS, ensuring digital sovereignty.

Offline mode

The open-source Kanban board works even without an internet connection, as it doesn’t need to load external HTML, JavaScript, or CSS code from other sites.
