TATEMS product overview
TATEMS, or Truck and Trailer Equipment Maintenance Software, is a simple and straightforward fleet maintenance software solution. It enables fleets to save money, get the most out of their equipment, and pass DOT and BIT inspections. Geared toward smaller fleets, the software is an alternative to the sometimes complex fleet maintenance software systems.
TATEMS streamlines the tracking of preventative maintenance, work orders, and parts inventory. The system sends reminders for better maintenance operation management. Furthermore, it can handle fleets of commercial big rig trucks, semi-trailers, construction assets, and automobiles. It also has capabilities to manage a fleet of light trucks and various equipment like vehicles and forklifts.
The software constantly updates with the modern industry. It empowers non-tech savvy users to input data and generate reports. TATEMS serves businesses in different industries, including utilities, oil and gas, schools, public transportation, and waste management.
Pros of TATEMS
- It gives access to over 100 custom spreadsheets that businesses can link to their live data.
- Users can get printable reminders for maintenance, license permits, and parts reordering.

Breakdown of core features
Work order management
The work order management functionality makes it easy to create work orders that can deduct parts from the inventory and track costs related to labor. It delivers detailed cost tracking—establishing all the areas for improvement. Additionally, it allows repair code categories to monitor expenditures on each category of maintenance or repair. TATEMS work order management feature reduces hours off the paperwork and helps organizations save on preventable repairs.
Fuel Log lets users see cost mile, miles per gallon, and state where the employee purchased the fuel. It enables staff to enter miles traveled in each state, allowing managers to calculate the IFTA or state fuel and mileage taxes.
Parts inventory management
TATEMS parts inventory management shows details of the parts installed, including the date and location. It notifies users when they run short of particular parts. In addition, it presents key information such as part number, part type, manufacturer, description, bin location, and bin number. It also shows cost, selling price, markup methods, minimum quantity on hand before re-order, and current quantity on hand. Each part displays the truck or equipment installed and when.
The software lets managers check information on personnel like drivers, fleet technicians, and mechanics. Managers can view details such as CDL and driver’s license renewal, last and next physicals, last drug test, and drug test interval. They can also access information on the last motor vehicle report (MVR) pulled, MVR pull intervals, and wages to apply to work order labor.
