Furthermore, the Streamtime team continues to build new functionality to solve their customers’ challenges and are active in researching and testing new solutions with customers on a weekly basis.
Pros of Streamtime
- Time tracking – Streamtime changes time tracking for creatives by eliminating the timesheet. The project management software merged to-do lists with tasks to save time and make the act of recording time a rewarding experience. Now, users report with more accurate data and the ability to charge for time that previously slipped through the cracks.
- Kanban boards – The introduction of Priority boards gives creative businesses the flexibility to track everything from new business pipelines to progress on jobs at a glance. Users can easily move cards as they progress and track jobs and items as they go.
Cons of Streamtime
- Timelines need a little more development to replace any complex Gantt chart solutions.
- Native Android app solution is yet to launch.
Breakdown of core features
Planning jobs
Streamtime lets you set up jobs quickly and easily. Estimate hours, allocate team members, and set deadlines seamlessly. Use rate cards, fixed prices, or time and materials flexibly. Job progress is tracked on the job page, and you can easily move tasks from person to person in the schedule. Everything is updated in real time, so you can keep tabs on margin, deadlines, and burn-up rates at a glance.
Quoting and invoicing
As soon as you’ve planned your job, you’re ready to send quotes and invoices. Easily keep track of approved and declined quotes as well as payments. The invoice wizard allows you to create percentage or lump sum deposit invoices, invoice in stages, or charge for everything all at once. Streamtime integrates seamlessly with Xero and QuickBooks.
Time tracking and scheduling
Time is automatically tracked for your team when they drag and drop tasks from ToDo to Done, so there’s no mismatch between hours worked and hours recorded. Simply drag tasks from ‘ToDo’ to ‘Done’ and time is logged against your jobs. Add tasks directly from each team member’s ToDo screen or easily see what everyone is up to by using the Schedule. Drag, drop, duplicate, and reassign tasks easily so that you can adapt to changes fast.
Reporting
Streamtime uses your jobs list as the basis of all data. See how much of a job is left to invoice, what’s awaiting payment or overdue, as well as the current profit margin for any job in your business. Customize reports using different combinations of columns and filters. Create a report once and save them to your favorites, allowing it to be useful for those weekly and monthly reporting meetings. Go one step further by using labels to keep track of types of work, types of clients, or jobs with a specific project lead. Labels allow you to personalize Streamtime and make it your own.
