About Objective Medical Systems
Objective Medical Systems, developers of the OMS electronic health records system, was founded to help satisfy the software needs of cardiology specialists.
OMS EHR is cardiology-specific electronic health records software; a comprehensive cardiology practice solution, OMS EHR has 16 available reporting modules for all popular diagnostics (echo, myocardial perfusion etc.), allowing the software to interface with a cardiologist’s diagnostic equipment so that results may be viewed directly within the EHR without any scanning or manual document management required.
OMS EHR is modular in design; cardiologists can deploy and pay for the diagnostic modules they’ll use and aren’t required to purchase functionality that isn’t desired. For even further flexibility, OMS EHR allows for several different input methods: Nuance voice recognition, e-Ink, handwriting recognition, dictation, touchscreen and traditional mouse/keyboard. Mobile device capability is currently in beta testing, but when it is deployed (estimated 1/15), cardiologists will be able to dictate directly into their mobile device or use the touchscreen for input.
OMS EHR is an ONC-certified ‘modular’ EHR, which means it includes all standard EHR functions like e-Prescribing, a Patient Portal, robust clinical decision support, E&M coding – with Intelligent Medical Objects integration for ICD-10 transitioning – and more. Cardiologists can monitor their Meaningful Use (MU) compliance with the built-in MU dashboard, and the software also includes clinical quality measures (CQMs) and physician quality reporting system (PQRS) tools to ensure the highest levels of reimbursements as healthcare transitions to a pay-for-performance model. For practice management, OMS EHR also has an available scheduling module.
Last but not least, Objective Medical Systems support is available 24/7 through an online customer portal.
Objective Medical Systems’ OMS EHR was designed by cardiologists, for cardiologists. Not a cardiologist, or not sure OMS EHR is the right fit for your practice? See more medical records software in our SmartAdvisor!
