MeisterTask is a web-based task and agile project management tool. It provides companies with a simple solution to stay on top of all to-dos. The software is part of the Meister Suite, a group of products for effective workflow management.

Alongside customizable Kanban-style project boards, MeisterTask has numerous features to streamline project work. It enables users to manage workloads with Timeline, a Gantt-style overview of tasks that pinpoints bottlenecks and keeps projects flowing smoothly. Teams can also set up automations to speed up manual work or complete specific tasks automatically.

Task management

Tasks in MeisterTask act as a central communication hub for all related files, links, and discussions. Teams can organize and manage tasks in Kanban-style project boards with MeisterTask.

Furthermore, users can build information-rich tasks by adding attachments, links, checklists, and custom fields. The software keeps all relevant information in one place and saves files as attachments. It lets project managers set due dates to inform teams about what’s needed and when.

Team projects

Managers can start team projects that members can join on their own and grant or revoke rights to multiple users at once. Project administrators can convert any project into a Private Project. Only invited users are able to view and access Private Projects.

Roles and permissions

Project managers can assign different roles to project collaborators to control who can modify projects, manage integrations, and set up workflows. By designating different roles and permissions, managers can define and limit what they can view, access, and edit in the project. Setting appropriate roles and permissions for projects improves collaboration and ensures that sensitive data is safe.

Time tracking

MeisterTask’s built-in time tracking allows teams to control time more effectively. Managers can find out exactly how long it takes team members to complete tasks and get insights into which tasks are taking the longest.

Once started, this feature runs continuously in the background. A red stopwatch/timer is visible on the project dashboard and active tasks to remind users that the system monitors their time.
