About MasterTools SCM
Online Computing Inc. has been providing business computing software since 1969, and their MasterTools SCM product is one such solution. They operate out of Brentwood, Tennessee and provide many software products including ERP, Business Intelligence, ecommerce and supply chain management (SCM) software. They are experienced in several industries, including automotive, electronics, food and beverage, industrial and manufacturing.
Online Computing’s supply chain management software is based on a relational database — hosted or traditional server. This inventory control software is comprised of nine modules. The Inventory module tracks the state and activity of all stocked items. Typical transactions in this model include bin transfers, inventory adjustments, and physical inventory. The Purchasing and Receiving module handles requisitions, purchase orders, receipts, and vendor’s vouchers. Four different types of purchase orders are provided to meet companies’ needs. This module can receive shipments at the dock, or at staging areas, and can eliminate much of the physical paperwork. The Order Entry and Invoicing module allows quoting, changing quotes into sales orders, and direct sales order creation. While a sales order is being filled out, the inventory management software can generate any purchase orders needed to fill that sales order without leaving the Order Entry module. The Shipping module provides a hierarchical model for managing shipping. This scheme makes it easy to manage the many parts of compound shipment. The Sales Analysis module allows users to ask questions and gain insight into the performance of the sales team. The reporting tools in this package let users drill down to any level of detail necessary — track the performance of a regional office, or just a single salesperson. Of course no SCM package would be complete without an EDI module for standards-based parts description, and MasterTools provides an excellent one. The remaining modules are Warehouse Management, Product Configuration and Credit Card Processing.
