Product Quick Facts
MailVault is a on-premise and cloud-based IT software that archives and self-prunes based on user settings. Compatible with all mail systems, MailVault readies companies for ediscovery, compliance, and monitoring. Features include email systems compatibility, archiving management and reporting, search and retrieval, and multi-role user security.
MailVault allows users to archive all internal, incoming, outgoing email (with multi-domain support), and includes multi-protocol support (POP3, IMAP, SMTP). Users can archive email from multi-mailbox formats (mbox, maildir, eml files) and email from mail clients (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc) using the MailVault Agent.
Enterprise-class features, like retention policies and litigation support, prepare users to be compliance-ready. Email data and user privacy is protected using encryption and role-based access. Optional self-service settings allow end-users to access their own email (over a browser, or from within their email clients), without consuming skilled administrator time. Email de-duplication and single-instance storage are used to minimize disk usage. Users set search parameters, using free-text search in full message body and header, and select commonly used file format (text, doc, ppt, xlsx, html, pdf).
MailVault runs on Microsoft Windows and Linux, and can be deployed on-premise or in the cloud. Its user-friendly interface engages small companies; at the same time, it’s powerful and sophisticated enough to satisfy the largest enterprise’s requirements. MailVault integrates with Postfix, Qmail, Sendmail, MS Exchange, Lotus Notes, Google Apps, and more, and works with all standards-based email servers.
