Founded in 2001, Jive is a software company headquartered in Palo Alto, CA. In December of 2011, the company went public on the NASDAQ with an IPO that raised over $160 million. Their current CEO, Tony Zingale, was ranked #35 on BusinessInsider’s “Silicon Valley 100” list in 2012. Currently, the company creates software solutions for businesses, and primarily focuses on social business software and apps. Jive’s social business software focuses on aspects of communication and collaboration between employees. The platform features an intuitive dashboard for employees where communications can be shared across the company. Users can view email, documents, posts, feeds, and more from one location. Through the social platform, Jive connects communication with tasks and documents so that projects can be worked on more collaboratively. Through the platform, users can integrate Outlook, Office, SharePoint, Salesforce, Box, Evernote, and email apps to their projects. Jive also offers add-ons that can be utilized with the platform that includes modules for gamification, business analytics, sales presentation, task management, and video streaming. They offer flexible plans that are suited for smaller businesses and enterprises alike. Many of the features of Jive are mobile compatible through their mobile app, so that employees can continue to communicate and collaborate with their team while on the move. And with an open API, developers can integrate current systems and program the capabilities their organization requires.
