About E-Z BIS Office
E-Z BIS, Inc., based in Lafayette, LA, is a manufacturer of software solutions designed for chiropractic practice management. Founded in 1980, E-Z BIS has provided software solutions to chiropractors for over thirty years. E-Z BIS Office, E-Z BIS’s flagship electronic health record (EHR) product, has a modular design that is designed to grow with a chiropractic practice.
Doctors can begin with just the basic accounting and billing functions provided by E-Z BIS Billing and as their practice grows, doctors can add more functionality. The E-Z BIS Front Desk module includes support for appointment scheduling, automated appointment reminders, and numerous reports to help manage patient flow, improve patient retention, and track selectable statistics. The E-Z BIS EHR module includes full electronic health record management capabilities including a library of custom templates, automation friendly SOAP note input, document management for a paperless office, ICD-10 support, and smart data entry. The EHR module is also ONC-certified in full compliance with Meaningful Use stage 1. The E-Z BIS Collection Desk module includes fully customizable open-item accounting, insurance, and patient payment capabilities, automatic ERA posting, and automatic generation of collection reports. All modules can be installed independently of one another, allowing a practice to integrate their existing software with E-Z BIS products if so desired. All new E-Z BIS software licenses include a 90-day warranty, from the date of installation, for free toll-free telephone support and general product updates. After the 90-day warranty has passed, E-Z BIS offers an annual support contract that includes phone support in addition to product updates.
A chiropractic office in California had been struggling with its practice management software before switching to E-Z BIS. The previous software didn’t include support for acupuncture, acupressure, laser therapy, or even basic coding for different chiropractic therapies. This lack of functionality had the provider tracking all of these therapies in different programs. After adopting E-Z BIS, this provider was able to input all these therapies into one program, avoiding higher labor costs from duplicate data entry and having to train staff on multiple programs.
