Practice management

CosmoLex tags every email, task, event, document, billable item, and transaction to its proper client matter at all times. Firms can create task workflows and load them into new or existing matters. Legal teams can also reduce administrative workload by automating legal tasks, connecting client and matter information, and putting the entire law firm on the same page. The system’s custom workflow management allows users to control what gets done by whom and when for better deliverability. Team members can transmit communications, set up reminders and appointments, and make generating, sending, and paying invoices simpler.

The software manages all of the law office’s bookkeeping and accounting requirements with built-in compliance check every step of the way. It enables law organizations to handle all payees from a central dashboard with a chart of accounts. Firms can track and pay all office bills and vendor credits and have a comprehensive financial picture. Moreover, users can set recurrent bills, such as rent or utilities, and let CosmoLex enter them automatically.

Credit card processing

Law firms can manage credit card transactions to complete trust retainer payments, online invoice payments, and daily reconciliations of received funds using CosmoLex’s end-to-end credit card processing. The integrated system controls the bookkeeping procedures required for credit card payments, like managing deposited funds, how they are recognized, and how to handle refunds.

Document management

With a native storage option, CosmoLex optimizes productivity and organizes case information, files, documents, and compliance requirements. Users can create original document templates by designing them once in Microsoft Word and downloading their database of merge fields from the platform.
