Acuity Scheduling is an online booking platform from Squarespace that manages appointments, so busy companies can run smoothly. Companies use the software to offer group classes, accept payment during bookings, and automatically remind clients of upcoming appointments.

Organizations can embed the Acuity scheduler on their website, allowing clients to book appointments or classes seamlessly online. The platform can work with any web hosting service. It only displays the times the business is available and encourages clients to book appointments on their own while capturing all the information needed. Acuity Scheduling automatically sends branded and customized booking confirmations and delivers text reminders to clients.

Client self-schedule

With Acuity Scheduling, clients can schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments on their own. Businesses can add booking buttons and booking bars to create different ways of directing clients to the scheduler from other parts of their website. The system lets account owners set scheduling limits and control how close to an appointment the client can reschedule. For example, they can prevent clients from rescheduling their appointments within two hours of the original time.

Recurring appointments

The Recurring Appointments feature allows clients to schedule more than one appointment during booking. With this account-wide setting, customers can schedule repeating appointments, or pick several appointment slots individually. Admins can turn this setting on and off.

Client intake forms

When a client books an appointment, they’ll enter their name, phone number, and email address. Businesses can add custom forms to ask for more information or require clients to agree to terms or conditions. Furthermore, organizations can use custom forms to gather information on topics like who referred clients to the business, what symptoms they’re having, or what their address is. Staff members can also use internal forms to organize notes without making them visible to clients.


In Acuity Scheduling, site owners receive automatic email and text notifications for appointments. Users can also receive daily or weekly agendas for all appointments on their calendars. To keep staff informed about upcoming bookings, managers can send appointment notifications to any email address or phone number.
