Software Excellence Awards: Small Business CRM

We like to recognize excellence when we see it. We also like to help business make informed software decisions.

In our first installment of the TechnologyAdvice Software Excellence Awards, we looked at small business CRM. To find the best solutions, we conducted a thorough, balanced analysis of 92 different products from numerous vendors. We then calculated a cumulative score for each based on the following eight metrics:

  1. User Satisfaction
  2. Affordability
  3. Out-of-the-Box Features
  4. Native Integrations
  5. IT Support
  6. UX/Usability
  7. Mobility
  8. Market Popularity

The winner (named in the report), represents the product with the highest overall score. Nimble CRM softwareNimble

Nimble won us over with a robust, creative solution that offers great social features, high user-satisfaction ratings, and an affordable price point. It also has a clean, simple UI, and scored well in nearly every category.


Zoho CRM SoftwareZoho

Zoho is a sales-focused CRM, that offers great features and plenty of support options. They’re a middle-market offering, and their platform isn’t just limited to CRM – they have a suite of online business tools that can help automate a variety of company functions, and integrate with common business apps.


VTiger CRM SoftwareVTiger

VTiger was the most affordable CRM of our top three and also offered the most out-of-the-box features. Though not as established in the market, VTiger is a solid choice for the budget-conscious. It also has great user-satisfaction scores, making it a contender to watch out for.
