What do you like best about this product?

There is a lot to like about Service Trade so it is difficult to say what I like best, but if I had to name one thing, it would be the way that this software can turn problems into revenue. By using Service Trade, we have been able to plug many holes in our old administrative systems and upgrade the entire company. We have found that Service Trade when used properly brings normally hidden customer problems to the surface. When presented with the evidence of a problem along with photographs, video, audio and a quote, customers easily and frequently approve repairs.

What could be improved about this product?

Service Trade employs a strong development team which is constantly under improvement, they are open to ideas and frequently request feedback from their users. If there would be one small improvement I would make, it would be to include their tablet view into their device application in a smoother way. The current format can be confusing to somebody who is new to tablets.

What was your main concern about buying this software?

I was concerned about tech support. Not all of my employees are exceedingly technologically literate so I wanted to make sure that I was not the one that had to answer ALL of the questions about the software. Luckily Service Trade employs a domestic team of highly trained super friendly support staff, who I can rely on to answer questions and address support tickets created by my staff.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you seen?

Switching to ServiceTrade has taken my company from the Flintstones to the Jetsons in one giant step. Going paperless, signatures on tablets, customer data, photographs of work, organization of items/inventory, etc. AND amazingly complex and creative integrations have revolutionized our business. We have changed so much in the last 6 months, we are hardly recognizable as the same company. The benefits are plentiful, and still coming in. If you have a service based company, please do your customers the favor of testing this software.

What do you like best about this product?

I love the ease of use for our office staff and especially our service staff. Service Trade has made service documentation effortless. The gorgeous user interface makes the system enjoyable to use. Our customers absolutely love the customer portal and how thorough the information is. Keeping their compliance paperwork all in the same spot with quick access to it creates value for them!

What could be improved about this product?

There is very little that needs to improve with Service Trade. They are constantly pushing out updates that are welcome efficiencies. I am especially grateful that they continue to improve their reporting capabilities.

What was your main concern about buying this software?

My main concern was ease of use. I really wanted a simple easy to use software that would not be a burden to our technicians in the field. Service Trade quickly proved that it was super easy yet comprehensive.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you seen?

I was able solve our inefficiency of data storage with the implementation of Service Trade. We had 2-3 people in the office organizing and storing data on different servers for future use. Service Trade eliminated all that hassle but automatically storing the info properly right when the technician documented the information!

What do you like best about this product?

I really like the flexibility of the software to customize its use to the unique processes of our business. Because of ServiceTrade’s flexibility, we were able to eliminate at least 5 other tools and spreadsheets that we used to log and track data. ServiceTrade serves as our central repository for all of our work. We recently stopped keeping customer folders in Dropbox and simply log those files at the Company, Location, or Job Level. Not only does ServiceTrade provide us the ability to collect and store rich data, but it also allows us to seamlessly share that data with our customers.

What could be improved about this product?

It’s really tough to build a clean software product that serves a wide customer base. Our business is more project-oriented than the average ServiceTrade customer (who does more recurring service work). Some additional features for larger projects would be a great to see in the future.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you seen?

Business Problems: scheduling, communication with technicians, sharing data with customers, logging maintenance records, managing subcontractors.

ST has streamlined all of these processed. Now all we use from a software tool standpoint is a light CRM solution, ServiceTrade, and accounting software.

What do you like best about this product?

I value this software’s ability to focus on what service contractors need to operate efficiently and effectively. We have been using this product for 3 years now, and it is integrated into our whole operational SOPS. The communication level from the field to the office has increased dramatically, no more waiting for paperwork or for deficiencies to be turned in to create quotes. Turn around time from when the technician was on site to when they receive a quote happens same day in most instances. They have an Open API that allows you network other software into service trade to automate a lot of tasks.

What could be improved about this product?

ServiceTrade is on a biweekly update release. They have made so many improvements to this software of the time we have been using them. I reach out weekly with items that I would like to see or need. They take requests and it goes in the hopper. I have made many requests over the time we have been using it, and I have seen a lot of those go into production.

What was your main concern about buying this software?

I was mostly concerned with the setup of the software. It takes a level of commitment to start over in your operational processes. This software touched almost every policy that we had when we decided to take the plunge. Setup was efficient and they provided a lot of help and tools to make it even easier. It was the best decision we have made as far as software and customer communication goes. Customer service is the number one focus of ServiceTrade. They always respond and work diligently when there is an issue.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you seen?

There have been multiple issues solved.
Problems solved:
-Lost paperwork
-Illegible reports (pdf paperwork auto loaded on each job, techs use iPads to input reports)
-Scheduling efficiencies with Map based route planning
-Distribution of multiple reports and paperwork (customer portal, servicelink)
-Time tracking, tech location, T&M billing
-Reoccurring services, Keeps track of all reoccurring jobs and easily adds them to the next months batch
– Quote tracking and follow up
– Giving access to customers to self-serve information they are seeking (customer Portal)
Benefits:
-Easy of use (easy to navigate, understand specific terms and train users)
-Mobile App provides a lot of information to the technician that the office used to have to provide in a paper work-order
– Integration through the whole organization. Sales – Customer Service – Scheduling – Billing – Quoting
