Practices are able to reach out to their patients via email, automated telephone calls, and two-way text messages. My Vision Express features an electronic signature capture that ensures compliance as the consent form is displayed in the signature pad for the patient’s review. The Insurance feature streamlines billing, accounts receivable, and insurance claims processing, featuring integration with Who Is Your Insurance for quick identification of patients’ vision insurance and easy access to benefits and authorizations.
 
My Vision Express is ICD-10 ready with automated ICD-10 coding and a crosswalk that lets practices quickly link ICD-9 to ICD-10 diagnosis codes, as well as multiple automated insurance management features like authorizations, fee schedules, claims, payments, and electronic remittance advices (ERAs).My Vision Express works with any DICOM compliant equipment and supports integration with leading vendors who have devices that may not be DICOM compliant. My Vision Express also interfaces directly with industry-leading laboratory software solutions and online ordering systems.

What do you like best about this product?

The visuals are great and it is easy to see what you are entering and how it is presented on screen.

What could be improved about this product?

There are huge inconsistencies between individual job pricing. Pre-set tax calculations DO-NOT work for jobs that have insurance. You have to manually figure tax and enter it in. We have stores with different tax rates and you can not move jobs from one store to another (can not do an order at store A and pick it up at store B).

What was your main concern about buying this software?

How it would work with a multi chain retail operation.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you seen?

none, it has taken way to long to set up, learn, and use. We have completed all of the training and have found many issues.

What do you like best about this product?

The functionality and easy to use for exams, similar to Crystal and OfficeMate.

What could be improved about this product?

The required updates without having to pay for the unnecessary annual service fees. You already paid a huge amount for the software, but then you have to pay more annually to maintain it..

What was your main concern about buying this software?

The huge upfront cost for the software. The MOST IMPORTANT thing about the software they don’t mentioned is the database software of SQL Server is a temporary software. If your office builds up after 1 or 2 years, the server software stops working and you have spend approximately $1,000 more to get the full version in order to use the program My Vision Express. In addition, if you need to update the server, the IT will charge you $500 to update it. In the end, you will continue to pay more money to maintain and use this software.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you seen?

I’m letting optometrist know that there are other software out there that are better and cheaper than My Vision Express.

What do you like best about this product?

If it works properly, it can help make office run smoothly.

What could be improved about this product?

Mainly technical issues with recording information. It’s okay to have issues, but you need to have people there ready to help. Customer service with this company is the worst I have ever seen. The people here are not trained well and do not understand how their software works.

What was your main concern about buying this software?

My main concern was the migration of data from my prior EHR. They said it would go smoothly, but it was a disaster. Things did not transfer properly. All my data is bunched up and put in one file. Nothing is organized.

What business problems are you solving? What benefits have you seen?

The major problem I am having is support. I can not seem to get anyone to help me. I’ve asked for help and it’s been over 16 days now and no one has called back. I have called 2-3 times in between and the representative keeps saying that they will have someone call me back but no one does.

How likely would you be to recommend this software to a friend or colleague?
