About MDIntelleSys IntelleChart

IntelleChart, from MDIntellesys, is a cloud-base d electronic health records solution designed specifically for vision providers. Originally founded as Intellemed by Dr. Dan Motzka, a retina specialist, MDIntellesys has been designing ophthalmology software since 2003. The merging of Intellemed with Extensys birthed the company now known as MDIntellesys.

IntelleChart is template-based EHR software, but instead of just relying on static templates, Intellechart uses what MDIntellesys refers to as an “Adaptive Template”. The “Adaptive Template” system makes use of machine-learning coupled with a unique set of defaults for each patient based on their history and problem list to provide only relevant choices to the defined patient condition, dramatically reducing the number of options in pick lists and shortening the amount of time to document each encounter without sacrificing specificity. The cloud-delivered software references a shared knowledge base hosted by MDIntellesys; it is constantly updated with the latest medical advances, regulatory changes, and encounter information, allowing each IntelleChart user access to the most up-to-date information for their “Adaptive” templates, conveniently stored in a central repository. In addition to the “Adaptive Templates” ophthalmologists love the IntelleDraw function that allows them to draw and make notes on images directly within the EHR system, saving time. Also, while MDIntellesys doesn’t offer an integrated practice management solution, IntelleChart supports semantic integration with multiple systems via HL7, allowing providers to choose any practice management software to best fit their needs, or integrate with their existing system.   Intellesys also integrates with a wide variety of optical durable medical equipment, such as Autorefractors, Lensometers, and OCT/FA/HRT, etc, allowing direct importation of data via serial port cabling or LAN interfaces.
