On-Premise Platform

Software with the ‘On-Premise Platform’ feature is installed on-site, on a users’ own servers or workstations. The reverse would be cloud or web-delivered software, which is hosted off-site, usually by the vendor, and accessed via an Internet connection. Typically, on-premise software has higher up-front costs, due to the required investment in equipment, but a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) because there are no or reduced monthly or annual subscription fees.
