We Are Proud to Give Back to the Nashville Community

TechnologyAdvice has a lot to thank Nashville for, so we make sure to show our gratitude by working with local community organizations to make our city better for everyone.

Some of our annual charity work includes attending and contributing to the Best Buddies of Tennessee annual gala, which supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as donating to and playing in the First Shot Basketball golf tournament to raise money for youth-level basketball programs that teach children the value of teamwork through positive reinforcement.

Organizations We Have Partnered With

We volunteer with a lot of organizations. Here are a few of them:

Best Buddies

Whether we are dressing up for a gala or dressing down for a run, we support Best Buddies in a variety of ways. Some of our favorite events include their annual Best Buddies Gala and the local Best Buddies 5k

Second Harvest

In 2014, we had a friendly canned food competition between our departments and collected 1,623 lbs of food, which represents 1,352 meals. We also sorted 21,490 pounds of food in the Second Harvest sorting room.

Nashville Food Project

Working to alleviate hunger in our city, the Nashville Food Project grows and collects food to distribute meals to those who need it most. We enjoyed preparing vegetables and making kale chips.

Nashville Youth Villages

For the past three years, we’ve supported Youth Villages’ Holiday Heroes initiative and have shopped and bought more than 300 presents for children each year. We also participate in Backpack Heroes to donate school supplies to Nashville children.

Nashville Rescue Mission

We have prepared and served hundreds of meals to those in our community who are hungry and homeless at both the Nashville Rescue Mission’s Men’s, and Women and Children’s campuses.

Hands On Nashville

In March 2015, we worked together with Hands On Nashville in support of their efforts for a healthier Nashville. We planted about 200 trees in a riparian zone in northern Nashville.
